Annual count of privately registered vehicles in Rwanda, disaggregated by vehicle type: motorbikes, sedans, SUVs (sport utility vehicles), pick-ups, buses, trucks, trailers, and other. Compiled by the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) from its Annual Tax Statistics report series (eight editions published to date), covering fiscal years 2009/10 through 2024/25. Rwanda's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Motorbikes consistently account for the majority of registrations, growing from approximately 36,000 in FY 2009/10 to over 215,000 by FY 2024/25. The dataset covers privately registered vehicles only. Type labels are normalised across editions so that 'Cars' and 'Sedans' resolve to 'sedans', and 'Jeeps' and 'SUVs' resolve to 'suvs'. Each annual edition carries several years of back-data, enabling consistent coverage across all 16 fiscal years with no gaps.
