Recorded caveats
Automated, from Table 6.5 of chapter 6 of the Statistical Abstract, which is the hardest table in the chapter to read correctly. **It is printed as a two by two grid of blocks, not as one table.** Two disjoint country ranges, each printed twice, once for 2019 to 2021 and once for 2022 to 2024. A reader that finds the first caption and stops at the next gets 43 countries over three years, a quarter of the table, and exports less imports equals the balance in every cell of it. So the block count is asserted at four rather than discovered. Three of those four captions print the table number with the decimal point missing, as `Table 65:`, so nothing here may search for the table by its number. The caption-to-header offset also differs between blocks, so the year row is found by its years. Coverage is what proves the blocks joined: every series must carry all six years. The only exceptions are the two United Kingdom rows, declared with the source's own reason and checked in both directions. `exports − imports = balance` is asserted across 522 country-years at a censused tolerance, and it is the **weak** check: it holds inside any single block, so it cannot detect a partial read. The check that can is the grand total against Table 6.3's national figures, exact in all six shared years, because a quarter of the country list does not sum to the national total.
