Kenya's headline inflation, published monthly by the Central Bank of Kenya as two series: annual average inflation, which is the average of the twelve monthly indices to the reference month against the preceding twelve, and 12-month inflation, which compares the reference month with the same month a year earlier. The underlying consumer price index is compiled by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, which the Central Bank names as the source on its own release page. The published table repeats April 2019 with identical values, so the 260 rows on the page carry 259 distinct months; the duplicate is dropped on extraction.
