What each class of Kenyan electricity customer actually paid a unit, for the seven fiscal years to 2023/24. 46 observations in shillings per kilowatt hour across seven customer categories.

Yield is the average revenue Kenya Power received per unit sold, which the table defines in its own footnote. It is not a tariff. It is what the tariff, the mix of consumption inside a category and any subsidy together produced.

Domestic customers paid 24.97 shillings a unit in 2023/24 against 16.30 in 2017/18, a rise of 53 per cent. Small commercial customers pay the most, 27.52, and commercial and industrial users the least of the three main classes, 21.73. Street lighting is cheapest of all at 12.92, though it rose 35 per cent in a single year after five years flat around 9.7.

E-Mobility is priced for the first time in 2023/24, at 19.35 shillings a unit, below every class except street lighting.

**This table publishes no total, subtotal or aggregate of any kind**, and an average across its categories would be meaningless without the consumption volumes to weight it by, which it does not print either. So unlike every other dataset from this chapter, nothing here is checked against a published sum, because there is none to check against. Any average a reader computes over these categories is that reader's own arithmetic, not a figure KNBS publishes. What is verified is that three editions agree on every cell they share.

**One figure has been revised, and the dataset says so.** The Domestic yield for 2022/23 was published as 22.75 in the 2024 edition, marked provisional, and as 20.39 in the 2025 edition, unmarked: a cut of 10.4 per cent. That row carries status "revised". It is the only cross-edition disagreement found anywhere in this chapter, across 254 shared cells in eight tables.

Off Peak (Interruptible) was dropped from KNBS's classification and carries a figure for 2017/18 only. The three editions say so three different ways, with blanks, with the string "N/A", and by omitting the row entirely.
