Crime statistics compiled from the Rwanda Statistical Yearbook 2025, LAW ENFORCEMENT sheet, Tables 14.1.1 through 14.1.4, unified by a topic dimension. Covers the ten most common crimes by type (2019-2024), crime distribution by province (2019-2024), family-conflict cases (2019-2024), and drug cases (2015-2024). Recorded crime peaked at 87,083 cases in 2023 before easing to 74,137 in 2024; theft is consistently the most common offense, at 23,942 cases in 2024. Table 14.1.5 (a 2024 crime-by-province cross-tab derivable from these totals) is excluded. The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) is the source agency.
