Quarterly electricity sold in kilowatt-hours broken down by customer category, from Table 3 of the RURA Electricity Statistics Report (underlying data from EUCL-REG, the national utility). Thirteen categories are captured: residential, non-residential, industries, telecom towers, hotels, health facilities, broadcasters, commercial data centres, water pumping stations, water treatment plants, street lights, the Nasho irrigation scheme, and exports. Industry is the single largest consumer, followed by non-residential and residential customers, and the total sold has climbed steadily quarter on quarter. Each report carries five rolling quarters, so the series is assembled from the run of reports, preferring the most recent report for any restated quarter. The report's figure-only series for system peak demand and electricity supplied to the grid are deferred.
