Rwanda's regulated maximum retail pump prices for petroleum products, set by the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) through periodic communiques (roughly every two months). The series tracks gasoline (petrol) and gas oil (diesel) in Rwandan francs per litre, VAT-inclusive, dated by the day each revision took effect. Over 2024 to 2026 pump prices climbed steeply: petrol rose from a low of about RWF 1,663 per litre in mid-2024 to RWF 2,303 by April 2026, tracking global oil prices and the exchange rate. IMPORTANT sourcing caveat: RURA publishes only the single current communique on its website and keeps no public archive of past revisions, so most of the historical points here are compiled from Rwandan news reports of each revision (The New Times, KT Press and others) rather than from the primary communique, and may contain date or value noise; only the most recent point (4 April 2026) is verified against the primary RURA communique. Coverage is not exhaustive (some 2024-2025 revisions are missing), and Jet A-1 (jet fuel) prices are not included. Treat the series as a best-effort reconstruction of the revision history, not an official record.
